Washington Minimum Wage Increases To $8.67
As of January 1, 2011, Washington’s minimum wage is now $8.67 per hour. Washington’s minimum wage applies to workers in both agricultural and non-agricultural jobs, although 14- and 15-year-olds may be paid 85% of the minimum wage.
Employers are required to post the “Your Rights As A Worker” poster in designated workplace areas. The poster, which is produced by the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries, provides information about the minimum wage and other topics. Updated posters reflecting this change are available for download at no cost on the L&I website.
